Work
that has meaning, work that doesn't feel like work, work that is energizing: that's what the career exploration process has as its goal.
We all have giftsthings that we do naturally, effortlessly and wellbut we often have a hard time recognizing and owning those gifts. My particular strength is helping clients to recognize their favorite skills, and how those can be leveraged to find a satisfying career.
Career Exploration is:

A step-by-step process to untangle and work through all the questions involved in a career change: What do I REALLY want to do? Do I have the right skills? Can I make enough money? Do I have to start over?
A holistic approach that takes into account the realities of life, including responsibilities to spouse, children and parents, health limitations, geographic constraints, self-esteem, depression, anxiety and all the other issues that real people have to contend with in their complicated lives.
An in-depth exploration of who you are and what you want, so that the answers that you carry inside of you surface naturally in response to our focused work together.

People often have questions about the length of the process. It depends on many factors, including how much time and energy you can devote to the process between sessions, how much flexibility you feel you have to make a change, and how big the jump is between your current job and your new career.
Although I cannot predict how many session we will need to complete our work, I know that you should have a clear sense that our work is moving in the right direction by the 3rd or 4th session. If that sense of momentum has not emerged, than we need to reassess before we commit to further sessions.
